And the gates of Hell did yawn
Once again the Re-mains return from the Citadel of CR&R with a tale of HELL.
First up is the news that much of the work on album#2 is done. Flash Sheedy expertly adjusted many knobs at Angelwood studio to chronical 14 songs that sound quite unlike the last batch. #2album will most certainly be a country rock and roll yardstick. It is loud, fast and at times rather brash. The gates of hell even crooked open upon these very sessions, but what else would you expect?
Post recording gig at the City Tavern was a model of shambolic excess. Mark Savic, the patron saint of CR&R, put an undisclosed sum of $$ on the bar before the gig got underway. As the gig preceded, BOTH of Micks guitars went out of action, Leigh lost a part of his stratocaster that had been in place for 32 years and the soundmans new kick-drum microphone was shown the raw end of the stick. Uncle Shauns banjo refused to comply with the tuning devices and was forced to abandon the later part of the show, choosing instead to gyrate on the floor with punters. The gig disolved into punk country carnage with a guitarless Mick singing with mic in hand, Leigh hammering his Fender mercilessly until even it gave out while Nachos tried valiently to hold it all together. But why try. It was agreed that such a debacle had not been seen since the days of the Bush Punk Cowboys.
Later on, the entourage moved upstairs to continue celebrations with Flash and honky tonk legend Wanita in tow. The photos of this event have been destroyed.
