The Re-mains have sealed negotiations with Mick Thomas’ people and as a result we’ll be undertaking a short tour with The Sure Thing. Commencing at the Byron Bay Bowlo on May 4, we will undertake to give Byron Bay a lesson in what constitutes excitement, drowning out the various noseflute acts pontificating at various shady dives with a goodly dose of Country R’n'R, featuring of course the smash hit, ‘Bye Bye Byron Bay’. We will then head north to BrisVegas, where we’ll support Mr Thomas’ band for two dates, the 5th and 6th, at the Healer, which we are assured is a most suitably countrified style of venue.

For those unfamiliar with Mr Thomas, he was the voice of famed and far-flung folk-rock kings Weddings Parties Anything, who stormed the world with such mighty tunes as “A tale they won’t believe’ , ‘Away Away’, ‘The Scorn of the Women’ and used to work damn hard, providing inspiration for the 3 hour-long Re-mains shows in which the Sweat was first concieved.
