Mercy …

Following a massive onslaught of punters to the enormously successful Durga Babies/Re-mains/ Acid Pixies show at the Bush factory, Nimbin, the Re-mains are at their customary high fever-pitch, poised for action with a slew of new songs ready to be sprung on its expectant audience, at the Rainbow Cafe, Nimbin on an unspecified date in the next coupla weeks.
They include Shaun’s instrumental, Let’s All Get Along, Mick’s songs Thank You Mr Ellis, The Dirt Farmer’s Gavotte and the Ivin/Daley tune, I Want Every Make of Holden Ever Made.
Meanwhile, we’re officially into Angelwood studios with Flash Sheedy in Currabbubula on Feb 24 to record the second batch of tunes, to be titled THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING COUNTRY ROCK ‘N’ ROLL. That should see up to 15 songs impressed on two inch 16 track with Flash’s expert production, with maybe 12 included on the final product. Meanwhile, ‘Keepin’ It Steel’, which sold well at Tamworth, is still bubbling along and compliments have been pouring in thick and fast for the brilliant artwork of Adam B. Hell, our Bureau of Art Direction Generalissimo.
We’re still waiting to hear if we’ve made it into the Blues Festival. If we do, look out for a country r’n'r avalanche.
